Family Lunch Fuels Reconciliation Rumours
Fitness expert Chloe Madeley and former rugby star James Haskell have set tongues wagging after they were seen enjoying a friendly family lunch together, sparking speculation that they could be growing closer again. The pair, who separated in 2023, were photographed during the get-together at The Angel Pub in Highgate on Sunday. The sighting has ignited hopes among fans that the former couple might be rekindling their romance.
A Picture of Familial Harmony
The outing included Chloe's brother, Jack, who initially shared the picture on his Instagram. James Haskell later reposted the image on his own social media page, confirming his presence. In the photograph, the I'm A Celebrity star was seated next to his ex-wife, Chloe, who was seen blowing a kiss towards the camera. The trio appeared relaxed and happy, presenting a united front. The former couple share a three-year-old daughter, Bodhi, and have consistently maintained a friendly co-parenting relationship for her sake since their split.
The Reality of Co-Parenting
This cheerful public appearance comes just weeks after James Haskell opened up about the more challenging aspects of their separation. While appearing on This Morning with Mike Tindall to promote their new book, Reloaded – The Good, The Bad & The Rugby, James gave a candid interview. He admitted that 'the worst bits' of navigating the split are hidden from social media, offering a more realistic view of life after divorce.
He spoke highly of Chloe, stating, 'Chloe is an amazing mum, an amazing woman. She is so talented and smart, and brilliant at what she does.' James emphasised that their priority is their daughter, explaining, 'when you separate, the priority always becomes the child and your egos don't matter.' He acknowledged that their co-parenting journey has its ups and downs, but they strive to handle it constructively for Bodhi's benefit.
James also touched upon the misleading nature of social media, noting that people rarely post about the bad times. He revealed that Chloe 'always had my back' and continues to do so, highlighting the enduring respect between them. The couple began dating in 2014 and married four years later in 2018.
