Cheryl Hines Embraced by MAGA After Hollywood Snub

Actress Cheryl Hines has seemingly found a new social and political circle, embraced by prominent figures associated with the MAGA movement after reportedly being sidelined by her former Hollywood peers.

A New Political Alliance Forms

The star of Curb Your Enthusiasm was recently pictured alongside Melania Trump and Usha Vance, the wife of vice-presidential candidate JD Vance. The trio met with military spouses at Joint Base Andrews in Prince George's County, Maryland, to assemble holiday care packages for deployed service members.

Hines, who is 60 and married to independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr, cut an elegant figure in a coordinated all-white outfit. Her ensemble featured a turtleneck sweater decorated with an American flag, wide-legged trousers, and a belted overcoat.

Her presence at the event, laughing and chatting with the other women, was interpreted as a clear signal of her acceptance into this influential political sphere. This follows an exclusive Daily Mail report which claimed her liberal friends in Hollywood had distanced themselves from her.

From Hollywood to Political Controversy

Hines and Kennedy, 71, married in 2014 at the Kennedy Compound in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. While she has previously been openly critical of her husband's controversial views, observers note a distinct change in her public stance recently.

In October, sources close to her old social set described her apparent political transformation as 'unrecognisable' and 'beyond comprehension'. Hines herself acknowledged the rift to CBS News, stating, 'I have a few friends, when Bobby stepped into the political arena, it became too difficult emotionally for them to stay close - and I understand it.'

When questioned about what Curb Your Enthusiasm co-star Larry David might think of Kennedy potentially joining a Trump cabinet, she conceded, 'That'll be a question for Larry, but let's be honest: he can't love it.'

Defending Her Husband Under Fire

This latest appearance comes after a combative interview on ABC's The View, where Hines promoted her new memoir, Unscripted. Hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar confronted her over Kennedy's lack of a medical background and his history of promoting anti-vaccine rhetoric.

Hines vigorously defended her husband's expertise, arguing, 'He has dedicated his career to suing big corporations because of toxins that have been affecting people's health…'. She cited his legal work against companies like Monsanto over the Roundup pesticide and DuPont.

Co-host Sunny Hostin challenged this, stating Kennedy would be 'the least qualified Department of Health and Human Services head that we've had in history.' A surprised Hines retorted, 'Less qualified than an economist?'

The debate intensified as Hostin accused Kennedy of spreading 'a lot of misinformation, a lot of chaos, a lot of confusion,' specifically referencing his disputed claim linking circumcision to autism. Hines attempted to pivot the conversation to COVID-19 disagreements before being interrupted.

The event at Joint Base Andrews, juxtaposed with her tense television appearance, underscores Cheryl Hines's evolving public persona and her alignment with a political faction far removed from her entertainment industry roots.
