Primark has quietly released a new pyjama collection inspired by the beloved children's TV series The Story of Tracy Beaker, sparking a frenzy among nostalgic shoppers. The range, based on the Jacqueline Wilson books, hit stores on May 4 and includes three styles starting at £12.
TikTok user Liv (@Livmchughh) shared a video from her local Primark, captioned: "Run to Primark for the new Tracy Beaker pyjamas!" The post quickly garnered attention, with the top comment coming from Dani Harmer, who played Tracy Beaker in the original CBBC series. She wrote: "Oh I am buying that entire collection!"
In a follow-up video, Harmer expressed disbelief, asking: "Tracy Beaker pyjamas in Primark? What is going on? I need confirmation. Are these actually real?" She noted that fans had tagged her "about 6,000 times", but some were convinced the clips were AI-generated.
Fans flooded the comments with excitement and frustration. One said: "Why are they not on click and collect? I'm having a meltdown!" Another wrote: "Oh bog off! Looks like I'm going to Primark!" Videos from branches in Manchester, Liverpool, and East Kilbride have also appeared online. Staff confirmed the range "only hit store today", with other branches expected to receive stock soon. None of the items are currently available on the Primark website, making it difficult to see the full range.
The collection includes a t-shirt and shorts set for £14, a long-sleeved set with trousers for £22 featuring all-over graphic prints in the style of the classic book illustrations, and a nightshirt-style top for £12.
