Former Love Island star Camilla Thurlow has revealed that her daughter Nora, four, has been suffering from “seizure-type events.” Thurlow, 36, shared the news on Instagram, explaining that Nora, who was diagnosed with autism and is non-verbal, has also been experiencing unexplained falls.
Health Update on Nora
In her Instagram post, Thurlow said: “We felt we should update you on what’s been happening and why we’ve been a little quiet lately. Nora has started to experience some seizure-type events alongside an increasing number of unexplained falls.” She added that Nora was referred to an NHS paediatrician and will have an EEG test as soon as possible.
Thurlow expressed the family’s worries but reassured followers that Nora remains “her usual happy self” and is surrounded by love from her siblings, family, friends, and nursery staff.
Advocacy and Family Life
Thurlow has used her platform to raise awareness about autism since Nora’s diagnosis last year. In February, she met Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer to discuss special educational needs and disabilities (Send) reforms. Thurlow and husband Jamie Jewitt, whom she met on Love Island in 2017, have three children: Nell, Nora, and Brodie.
