Lady Wilnelia Forsyth, the widow of Sir Bruce Forsyth, has said she is open to finding love again, eight years after the death of the Strictly Come Dancing legend. The 67-year-old former Miss World told the Mirror: 'I've no idea what is in the future for me. But I am really happy.'
The Puerto Rican beauty queen was married to Sir Bruce for 34 years until his death in 2017 at the age of 89. She admitted that the past eight years have been difficult as she adjusted to life without him, but she has kept busy with charity work and golf, a sport her late husband loved. 'He would love it. I am the Vice President of Variety Golf. He would have been very impressed with it, I think!' she said.
Lady Wilnelia, who won Miss World in 1975, remains close to Sir Bruce's family, recently celebrating a stepdaughter's 70th birthday. She has also launched a new charity in Puerto Rico in memory of her parents, who both suffered from Alzheimer's. 'I was a caregiver - and this is for the caregivers,' she explained.
Reflecting on her life, she said: 'I have done so many things, I’ve been going out everywhere. It has been wonderful. Really lovely.' She also hinted at a future gala to mark 50 years since her Miss World win, adding: 'Imagine, I don't know where time has gone!'
