Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz appear set to spend Christmas 2025 apart from his famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham, opting instead to celebrate with her family in Miami. This decision comes despite what have been interpreted as recent peace offerings from the Beckham family, hoping for a festive reconciliation.
Olive Branches Ignored as Miami Plans Proceed
In the lead-up to the holidays, the Beckhams seemed to make several public gestures towards their eldest son. Victoria Beckham shared a video of her mother's Christmas decorations, which notably included a personalised stocking for Brooklyn. David Beckham posted a nostalgic throwback photo of himself with Brooklyn and his brothers, Romeo and Cruz, while Cruz himself added a similar image with the caption "Love you guys."
However, these digital overtures have not altered the couple's plans. According to a report by the Daily Mail, Brooklyn and Nicola have decided to spend the holiday period with the Peltz family. A source told the publication, "Brooklyn and Nicola decided they would be spending this Christmas with her family. Her parents are really excited to have them."
Evidence of their location was provided by Nicola Peltz herself, who posted to her Instagram Stories from her family's mansion in Miami. The images showed Brooklyn relaxing by the pool with her brother, Bradley, as well as festive decorations adorning a grand staircase and homemade Christmas chocolates.
A Year of Estrangement and Missed Milestones
The Christmas plans mark the continuation of a noticeable estrangement that has developed throughout 2025. Brooklyn has reportedly snubbed several significant family events, including his father David's knighthood ceremony and his 50th birthday celebrations. The rumours of a rift were further fuelled when Brooklyn and his brothers appeared to stop following each other on Instagram.
This contrasts sharply with last year, when the couple celebrated Christmas with David, Victoria, and Brooklyn's siblings at the Beckham family home. A source close to the Beckhams revealed to The Mirror that the family is now adjusting to the new reality. "David and Victoria are coming to terms with not having Brooklyn around as much, they're saddened but they're accepting it," the source said. "But it's the grandmothers who are really feeling it. They adore Brooklyn; they had such a close bond with him."
The Roots of the Rift and a Path to Reconciliation
Whispers of a family feud first emerged in 2022 around the time of Brooklyn and Nicola's wedding. Initially, Victoria Beckham was expected to design the bride's dress, but Nicola ultimately wore a gown by Valentino. While those rumours were initially downplayed, the apparent distance throughout 2025 has given them renewed credence.
According to a separate source speaking to the Mail, reconciliation is not out of the question, but it hinges on a specific condition from Brooklyn and Nicola's side. The source stated, "There is an obvious first step which would be a public acknowledgement [by David and Victoria] of what they did, and an apology. It cannot be a performative thing. There is no realistic chance of a reconciliation without that happening first."
For now, as the Beckhams prepare for their first Christmas without their eldest son, the festive season is underscored by a palpable air of family tension and unanswered questions about the future.
