Pamela Anderson's Awkward Globes Encounter with Seth Rogen Over Pam & Tommy
Anderson Details Awkward Globes Encounter with Rogen

Pamela Anderson has opened up about the complex and uncomfortable emotions she faced upon seeing Seth Rogen at the 2026 Golden Globes ceremony, an encounter that prompted her early departure from the event.

An Unsettling Proximity at the Awards

While appearing on Andy Cohen's SiriusXM radio show, the 58-year-old actress and activist disclosed that she left the ceremony shortly after presenting the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy to Rose Byrne. She opted to go straight to bed rather than socialise, a decision driven by spotting Rogen in the audience.

The creator of the Hulu series 'Pam & Tommy', which dramatised the theft and distribution of Anderson's private sex tape, was seated disconcertingly close. "He was in the pit at the Golden Globes so we were close," Anderson recalled, noting the proximity made her feel unsettled.

The Lingering Sting of 'Pam & Tommy'

Anderson explained that seeing Rogen brought back feelings about the series, which she has long criticised for exploiting one of the most painful chapters of her life without her consultation. "Seth Rogen, he did that [series] without talking to me," she stated. "How can someone make a TV series out of the difficult times in your life, and 'I'm a living, breathing human being over here. Hello.'"

She admitted the encounter left her feeling "a little bit weird" and "a little yucky." Despite a busy professional schedule—having made five films in the past year—Anderson confessed the unresolved feelings occasionally surface. "Sometimes it hits you and you feel kind of down," she said.

Hopes for an Apology and Moving Forward

When Cohen suggested an apology from Rogen might hold significance, Anderson reflected on the core issue of privacy for public figures. "Well, you are free game. When you are a public person they say you have no right to privacy. But your darkest, deepest secrets or your tragedies in your life shouldn't be fair game for [a] TV series," she argued, noting the show revisited "the worst time in my life."

She expressed a faint hope that Rogen might eventually reach out to apologise, though she downplayed its importance. In the moment, she felt she was "already tip-toeing around" the awkwardness and chose not to confront him physically, though she joked, "in my mind, I did."

Ultimately, Anderson insisted she would not let the incident overshadow her life. "Everything's good," she concluded, adding pragmatically, "I mean there's worse things going on in the world."

A Consistent Critique of the Series

This latest interview continues Anderson's longstanding public criticism of 'Pam & Tommy'. In a 2023 talk with Howard Stern, she said she felt "run over" after learning of the project through an advertisement. She has consistently stated she was never contacted about the series, which stars Lily James and Sebastian Stan.

Anderson has questioned the accuracy of the portrayals, calling them a "very shallow representation," and revealed the project caused her to have nightmares after her sons informed her of its production. She has maintained she has never watched the series, just as she never watched the original stolen tape.
