I'm a Celeb's Aitch: Real Name Revealed & Heartfelt Reason for 2025 Jungle Stint
Aitch's Real Name & Why He Joined I'm a Celeb 2025

The 2025 series of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! has welcomed a new fan favourite in the form of chart-topping rapper Aitch. The Manchester-born star entered the Australian jungle on November 16, joining nine other celebrities including Kelly Brook and Martin Kemp, all vying to be crowned king or queen.

The Man Behind the Moniker: Harrison James Armstrong

Like many in the music industry, the performer known globally as Aitch uses a stage name. His birth name is Harrison James Armstrong. The unique alias 'Aitch' is derived from the pronunciation of the letter 'H', which is the first initial of his real name, Harrison. The inspiration came specifically from how the letter is said in his thick Mancunian accent, a nickname originally used by his friends.

This revelation, shared on social media platforms like TikTok, left fans astonished. One user commented on the clever origin, stating they were "today years old" when they found out, while another admitted it "actually makes so much more sense" now.

A Personal Mission: Honouring Sister Gracie

The 25-year-old rapper, who rose to fame in 2018 with his track "Straight Rhymez", has a deeply personal motivation for taking on the Bushtucker Trials. Aitch confirmed he agreed to join the ITV1 reality show primarily to raise awareness for Down's Syndrome, a condition his younger sister, Gracie, has.

He explained his decision, saying, "On an Aitch level, I feel like I have got this calling to raise awareness for Down syndrome and I feel that’s the perfect place." He also expressed a desire to branch out from his music career, even cancelling some gigs to participate, adding, "You are never going to branch out if you do the same thing all the time."

From the Studio to the Jungle

Aitch is no stranger to success, having secured a Brit Awardeleven top-10 singles, including major hits like 'Taste (Make It Shake)' and 'Baby'. His collaborative work includes projects with major artists such as Ed Sheeran, Anne-Marie, and AJ Tracey.

Since the launch episode aired at 9pm on Sunday, November 16, the rapper has quickly made his mark in camp. His early jungle antics have included stealing sweets meant for the whole group, serenading fellow campmate Ruby Wax, and sharing hilarious accent impersonations with Tom Read Wilson.

The star follows in the footsteps of last year's winner, McFly's Danny Jones, who beat Coleen Rooney to the title. With his mix of musical talent, cheeky charm, and a powerful personal cause, Aitch is already proving to be a standout contender in this year's I'm a Celebrity lineup.
