Heatwave Drowning Toll

The latest inquest was opened as a family who lost two loved ones in the same river backed the Mirror's call for action following the drownings. Grandad Michael Scott described his shock when his daughter Zoe called screaming that her sixteen-year-old son Tyler Wilson was in the river. He said, 'I couldn't believe it was happening again. I felt like I was dreaming. It was unbelievable, I couldn't believe history was repeating itself.'
