The family of Orinta Narbutaite, a 32-year-old mother from Rotherham, have paid tribute to her as a 'devoted and loving mother' following her death at a caravan park in North Nottinghamshire. Her body was discovered at a property on Main Street in Milton at 3.12am on Friday, March 20.
In a statement, her family said: 'It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Orinta Narbutaite, a cherished member of our community whose kindness, dignity, and warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew her.' They described her as a 'devoted and loving mother' to her daughter, adding that her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
A murder inquiry has been launched, and two men have been charged with conspiring to prevent the lawful and decent burial of a body. Donatas Noreika, 37, of Main Street, Milton, and Arturas Karvelis, 45, of Broad Street, Parkgate, Rotherham, have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on April 20. A 64-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman arrested in connection with the incident have been released without charge.
Nottinghamshire Police have referred the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) due to previous contact with Ms Narbutaite. Detective Inspector Matt Scott said: 'Our thoughts remain with Orinta's family and friends, who have asked for privacy at what must be an extremely difficult time.' He urged the public to refer to official updates and avoid speculation online.
