A 16-year-old boy from Romford has been charged with the murder of 14-year-old Eghosa Ogbebor, who was shot dead near Woolwich Dockyard train station in south-east London last week, the Metropolitan Police has said.

The teenager, who was first arrested on 4 April and released on bail before being re-arrested on 9 April, will appear at Thames Magistrates Court on Saturday 11 April. Another 16-year-old arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday remains in custody.

Police were called at 3.40pm on 2 April to reports of a shooting in Woolwich. Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found Eghosa with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
