The exact location of the fire that broke out in London on Monday has been confirmed as smoke continues to fill the sky in the capital. London Fire Brigade are urging people to avoid the area in Bermondsey. The fire service has confirmed the blaze broke out at the recycling centre on Landmann Way. They added that 15 fire engines and around 100 firefighters rushed to the scene at around 5:30 PM. They are asking the public to please avoid the area while the incident is ongoing.

Pictures from the scene show plumes of black smoke billowing above the Rotherhithe and Canada Water areas, with flames spotted as far away as the Isle of Dogs.

London train services are facing disruption due to the blaze. Southeastern confirmed some services are being diverted while others are cancelled completely. Currently, no trains operate to and from Charing Cross, with delays on routes to and from Cannon Street. Some services to and from Victoria are also diverted. Severe delays affect the Windrush Line, with no service between New Cross Gate and West Croydon, and between Surrey Quays and Dalston Junction to Highbury & Islington.
