A man's body has been recovered from the River Mersey, prompting a significant emergency services response at Liverpool's Pier Head. The discovery was made on Monday, June 15, 2026, at approximately 12:15 PM.

Merseyside Police confirmed that they received a report of a body found in the water near the iconic waterfront location. Officers from Merseyside Police, along with Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, North West Ambulance Service, and the Coastguard, were dispatched to the scene. A cordon has been established around the area, and members of the public are advised to avoid the vicinity.
