Armed police staged a major operation just over a mile from the stadium where England will begin their World Cup campaign on Wednesday, after reports of a “serious incident” in Arlington, Texas.
Police Response
A large contingent of SWAT officers, snipers and armed units descended on a residential street close to the AT&T Stadium, where the Three Lions are due to face Croatia, as dozens of police vehicles lined West Division Street on Monday (June 15).
Police snipers, an armoured BearCat vehicle and police drones were used at the scene, with a huge number of officers sent to the area.
Details of the Incident

A spokeswoman for the Arlington Police Department said the force were responding to a domestic dispute between a male and female at their home address.
She added: "The female resident was barricaded inside the home with additional occupants. The report shows that a weapon was produced but no injuries were reported. The suspect is now in custody and the investigation is ongoing."
No Threat to World Cup
There is no indication the incident was connected to the World Cup or posed any threat to the tournament or its venues. Aside from the England v Croatia match, the stadium, which typically serves as the home of the Dallas Cowboys, will host Lionel Messi's Argentina v Austria, on June 22, Japan v Sweden on June 25 and Jordan v Argentina on June 27.
The 80,000 capacity stadium will also host two Round of 32 fixtures, a Round of 16 match and a semi-final.
