Ryanair Allows 2 Free Baby Items In Cabin

Ryanair permits passengers travelling with infants to bring two baby items into the cabin free of charge, according to the airline's luggage policy. The items can include a baby car seat, pushchair, or travel cot, in addition to the standard hand luggage allowance.

The policy applies to all fare types, with the baby items needing to be within specified size limits. For example, a pushchair must be foldable and not exceed dimensions of 55 x 40 x 20 cm. The airline advises that items should be clearly labelled and may be stored in the overhead locker or under the seat.

This allowance is part of Ryanair's broader hand luggage rules, which include a small personal bag (40 x 30 x 20 cm) for all passengers, and an optional larger cabin bag (55 x 40 x 20 cm, up to 10 kg) for an extra fee. Infants do not have a separate hand luggage allowance, but the two baby items are provided as a concession.

Travellers are reminded to check the latest guidelines before flying, as policies can change. Other airlines such as easyJet, Jet2, and British Airways also have specific rules for baby items, often allowing a pushchair or car seat free of charge.
