A study by footwear brand Wynsors has named Botany Bay in Kent as the UK's most photographed beach. The beach is known for its golden sands, clear waters, and striking rock formations.
Located between white cliffs and chalk stacks, Botany Bay reveals fossils and rock pools at low tide. However, Visit South East England warns that parts of the beach can become cut off when the tide comes in. The clean waters have earned the beach a Blue Flag award, making it popular for swimming and watersports.
Facilities include a beach cafe, hotel, restaurant, and car parks, though these can get busy during peak times. The beach is also a favourite spot for nudists, particularly at the Foreness dunes. Dogs are not allowed on the beach from May 1 to September 30 between 10am and 6pm.
On Tripadvisor, visitors have praised the beach for its views and facilities. One reviewer described the cliff views as 'incredible' and recommended the Botany Bay Lager from a beach stall. Another visitor highlighted the beach's naturist appeal, noting a 'skinny dip' in winter.
