Two American tourists visiting the English countryside for the first time were left stunned by an unexpected sight: sheep. Sammy Napolitano from New York City and her friend took a train from London to the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty spanning 787 square miles, to explore villages such as Stow-on-the-Wold, Charlbury, and Burton-on-the-Water.
In a TikTok video, the pair are seen gazing out of the train window before Sammy excitedly exclaims, 'I see sheep, I see sheep, I see sheep.' The video captures their delight as they spot numerous sheep in the fields, with Sammy asking, 'Can you see the sheep?'
The Cotswolds attracts around 35 million visitors annually, drawn by its rolling green hills and quaint villages. However, the tourists' reaction to the sheep amused many British viewers, who admitted they too still get excited at the sight of farm animals.
'Ngl, I’m from the English countryside and I still point out every animal I pass,' one commenter wrote. Another added, 'I’ve lived here for 6 years now and the sheep are still my favourite thing ever.'
