Gordon Ramsay's Street Burger chain receives mixed reviews

Gordon Ramsay's west London burger restaurant, Street Burger, has received mixed reviews on TripAdvisor, with some customers describing the food as 'tasteless' and 'dry'. The High Street Kensington branch opened in May, following the first restaurant in the City of London in December 2020.

Out of 53 reviews, 10 rated the restaurant as 'terrible' and another 10 as 'poor'. One customer wrote: 'If you like burgers rare to medium rare don't even bother going. Their policy is to serve their meat well done which results in burgers which are tasteless and hard as a brick.'

The UK Food Standards Agency recommends that all burgers be cooked well-done to kill harmful bacteria. The chain's menu includes lamb, beef, chicken, and vegan options, all priced at £15 with fries and a soft drink.

However, 25 diners gave the restaurant a top rating, praising 'great service' and 'delicious food'. One customer said: 'I had the BAE burger and it was amazing. The meat was just great and the sauce so tasty.'

Some customers also noted good value for money. 'Burger, fries and unlimited soft drink £15, the staff were great attentive the decor is awesome,' one reviewer commented.

The Independent has contacted Gordon Ramsay's representatives for comment.
