Prezzo Launches UK-First Kids Eat Free Subscription, Claims Families Can Save £1,500 a Year

Italian restaurant chain Prezzo has introduced a subscription scheme that it says could save a family nearly £1,500 a year on dining out. The Prezzo Italian Kids Club, launched to coincide with the half-term school holidays, costs £1.99 a month or £19.99 for an annual membership.

Under the deal, families can get up to three free kids' meals each time an adult orders a full-priced main meal. The offer applies to children aged two to 12 and is valid from the standard kids' menu. Prezzo claims this is the first such dining subscription in the UK.

According to Prezzo, a family with three children using the deal once a week for a year would save £1,462, even after paying the £19.99 annual fee. However, this does not include the cost of adult meals or drinks. The offer can be used once per day and is available through the Prezzo app.

James Brown, chief executive of Prezzo Italian, said: 'We know that family life is busy, especially for larger families juggling multiple little ones. As a dad of two, I understand how valuable it is to have somewhere reliable to go where kids are looked after, have fun and eat well, while parents can get a break.'

Other chains are also offering half-term deals, including Tesco Café, Asda, Morrisons, Beefeater, Bella Italia, Burger King, Giraffe, ASK Italian, and Brewers Fayre, with offers such as kids eat for £1 or free with certain conditions. Prezzo's subscription, however, runs all year round.
