What are the big calls for Scotland boss Steve Clarke for the Haiti clash?

ANDY NEWPORT: Angus Gunn gets the nod over Craig Gordon in nets. It would be a fairytale story for the Hearts veteran if he could appear at this World Cup but I think he'll stick by the younger man. Jack Hendry and Scott McKenna will start in the centre of defence. And for all the talk of John McGinn missing out, I can't see it.

SCOTT BURNS: The big call is in goal and at the top end of the park. I would expect Gunn to get the nod in goal and Lawrence Shankland to lead the attack. I would also expect McGinn to come back in and Scott McTominay will start, if he shrugs off his current illness.

MICHAEL GANNON: Clarke needs to find a way of shoehorning McGinn and Ben Gannon-Doak into the team, and it might mean Lewis Ferguson misses out in favour of Ryan Christie as we need goals. Gordon getting the nod in between the sticks would be a wonderful World Cup story and a safe pair of hands.

How will Scotland fare at the World Cup?

ANDY: Off to a flyer against Haiti. If we can keep it tight in the other two games we should limit the goal difference damage and march through to the knock outs as one of the best third placed teams. Then it's about the luck of the draw but I fancy us to go further than ever before.

SCOTT: I expect them to make history and advance to the group stages for the first time. It depends on the luck of the draw in the knockouts. If we don't qualify then it would be a major underachievement.

MICHAEL: Why not dream big. Scotland will scud Haiti to get one foot in the knockouts, Morocco will be a tough one but Brazil will be qualified and not too fussed, so Clarkey’s men will pinch a memorable draw to cruise into the last 32. Mexico at the Azteca would be unreal. We’d give them a game but getting there will be a huge achievement.

Give us your World Cup bonkers bet for the next few days?

ANDY: At the last tournament in Qatar, there were only four red cards in the entire tournament. Based on the opener between Mexico and South Africa, I reckon it would be safe to assume we'll be hitting well into double figures. Lump on that.

SCOTT: Elijah Just to get on the scoresheet against Iran. The Motherwell player has had some season. I would back him to keep that going by getting a goal for New Zealand in their World Cup opener.

MICHAEL: There will be a group stage shock somewhere but we might’ve to wait with some of the minnows seriously outclassed in the first few days and there could be a few doings. Switzerland minus three goals against Qatar doubled up with a Scotland minus two win will get you 24/1 and you can thank me later.

How should Rangers handle the Danny Rohl situation with RB Salzburg circling?

ANDY: It's a win-win for all concerned if he leaves. Rohl is behind the eight ball with fan opinion at hostile levels. He gets to walk away without Rangers being forced to sack ANOTHER boss. And they get the bonus of a few quid in compensation cash.

SCOTT: I expect that an exit might suit all parties. It gets Rohl closer to his family and will allow Rangers to get compensation. Some of the fans have been on his case since the end of last season. If he was to make a poor start then the knives would be out again.

MICHAEL: If Rohl wants to go then it’s pointless standing in his way. Take the compensation and move on. Rangers fans won’t be shedding too many tears after the collapse at the end of last season. The German could go on and become a top boss but Ibrox is no place to learn on the job.
