Aldi is set to bring the quintessential taste of a Christmas market directly to British shoppers' homes, offering a beloved festive treat for a fraction of the usual cost.
A Festive Feast Without The Hefty Price Tag
Christmas markets are famous for their delicious, if often expensive, food offerings. One item, in particular, has risen to fame: the Yorkshire Pudding Wrap. This ingenious creation flattens the humble Yorkshire pudding into a wrap, which is then filled with all the classic trimmings of a festive roast dinner. While market stalls can charge over £10 for this dish, Aldi is shaking up the market with its own affordable version.
The supermarket's Specially Selected Yorkshire Pudding Wrap will be priced at just £3.49. This all-in-one meal provides a convenient and cost-effective alternative to a full roast, perfect for a quick Christmas fix during the busy festive season.
What's Inside Aldi's Festive Wrap?
The wrap is designed to deliver the full flavour of Christmas. It is made with British turkey, pork sausage, and bacon, carefully layered with traditional stuffing and cranberry sauce. The entire filling is enveloped in a crispy Yorkshire pudding and is served with a rich gravy dip for the ultimate festive experience.
Shoppers won't have to wait long to try it, as the product will be available in Aldi stores across the UK from November 26.
Aldi's Broader Festive Range and Store Closures
The Yorkshire Pudding Wrap joins Aldi’s existing lineup of festive sandwiches, which are already in stores. This range includes the new Specially Selected Honey Roast Gammon Ham & Christmas Slaw Bloomer for £2.75, a Christmas Club Sandwich for £2.59, and a Specially Selected Beef Wellington for £2.75.
In other Aldi news, the discount chain has reminded customers of its upcoming festive closures. All UK Aldi stores will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. They will reopen on Saturday, December 27, and Friday, January 2, 2026, respectively, giving staff a well-deserved break. In the lead-up to Christmas, Aldi will extend its opening hours to help shoppers prepare.
This move reinforces Aldi's position as a key player for budget-conscious consumers. Although recent analysis by Which? showed Lidl was slightly cheaper on a basket of 70 items in October, with Aldi's shop costing £121 on average, Aldi has been named the cheapest supermarket 22 times in the last two years, cementing its reputation for value.
