Arsenal tipped to sign £86m striker Kroupi ahead of rivals

Ray Parlour has tipped Arsenal to sign Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi, who is valued at £86 million and also attracting interest from Manchester United and Chelsea. The former Arsenal midfielder believes the 19-year-old would be a strong addition to Mikel Arteta's squad.

Kroupi's Impressive Debut Season

Kroupi joined Bournemouth from Lorient for £10 million last summer and enjoyed a remarkable first campaign in the Premier League. He netted 13 goals, helping the Cherries qualify for European competition for the first time in their history. Despite having a contract until 2030, his performances have drawn attention from top clubs across Europe.

Alongside Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have shown interest, while Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring the situation. Bournemouth are reluctant to sell and are reportedly demanding 100 million euros (£86 million) to even consider negotiations.

Parlour's Verdict

Speaking to The Mirror, Parlour said: 'Kroupi is a very good, talented player, there's no doubt about that. He's young, and Mikel Arteta has a track record of improving young players, so that would be a good signing.'

Parlour also backed Arsenal's pursuit of Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers, who has been linked with an £80 million move to the Emirates. 'Rogers is a fantastic player. He can play off the left and in the No. 10 role. I think we need someone off the left,' Parlour added.

Shearer's Prediction

Alan Shearer has suggested that Bournemouth players could follow manager Andoni Iraola to Liverpool. Speaking to Betfair, Shearer said: 'I can see Bournemouth players following Iraola to Liverpool. The two players I would pick out are Kroupi and Alex Scott. They've been outstanding this season.'

Rogers, meanwhile, has downplayed transfer speculation as he prepares for the World Cup with England. 'Most of it is just noise. You hear it, but you have to use it positively and focus on your game,' he told the Rest is Football podcast.
