Ryan Reynolds Reveals Inter Bogotá Shirt After Club Rebrand

Ryan Reynolds has proudly shown off the new shirt of his latest football venture after overseeing a dramatic rebrand that includes a new name and badge. The Hollywood star, who co-owns Championship side Wrexham alongside fellow actor Rob Mac, is a shareholder in Colombian club La Equidad, which has been officially reborn as Internacional de Bogotá, or Inter Bogotá.

Reynolds promoted the club's new identity in a video on Instagram, unboxing a package from the club before pulling on the freshly unveiled white-and-gold shirt. The kit features a completely redesigned crest, marking a clean break from the La Equidad branding that had been in place for years.

La Equidad was acquired in January 2025 by the Tylis-Porter Group in a deal reportedly valued at between £11m and £15m. Reynolds and Mac are among the group's high-profile investors, with other celebrity backers including actresses Eva Longoria and Kate Upton, alongside MLB star Justin Verlander. The group also holds a stake in Mexican side Club Necaxa.

Since the takeover, the Bogotá-based club has undergone sweeping changes both on and off the pitch. In December, the club officially adopted the name Internacional de Bogotá, with the rebrand forming part of a wider strategy to modernise its image and expand its global reach. The overhaul has not stopped there, with long-time head coach Alexis García dismissed and replaced by Argentine Ricardo Valiño, who leads a new international coaching setup.

Club bosses have also embarked on a major internal restructuring aimed at professionalising operations and building a sustainable business model. Inter Bogotá are now preparing for their first official season under the new identity in 2026. Their debut match is expected to take place at the iconic Pascual Guerrero Stadium in Cali against América, although final dates and kick-off times for the Liga BetPlay Dimayor fixture are yet to be confirmed.

Club president Nicolás Maya told Forbes that work is under way to assemble a more experienced squad, while the women's team will also receive increased investment. He also revealed ambitious branding plans, announcing that Inter Bogotá will become 'the first sports club in Bogotá to have a city brand to represent it around the world,' backed by the mayor's office, the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce and Invest in Bogotá.
