A new romance is blossoming between England and Aston Villa footballer Morgan Rogers and former Love Island contestant Leah Taylor, with the pair enjoying a series of dates, including a cosy retreat to the Cotswolds.
Romantic Getaway and Social Media Reveal
The 23-year-old midfielder recently whisked the 29-year-old influencer away for a romantic stay at the luxurious 4-star Cowley Manor hotel in Cheltenham. Leah confirmed their connection on Friday, sharing a sweet snapshot on her Instagram. The photo, captioned "I like it here" with a heart emoji, showed Morgan from behind during a winter walk.
In the picture, the footballer was wrapped up against the cold in a black Puma padded coat, an item he has previously modelled for the brand's advertisements, paired with a matching hoodie and tracksuit bottoms.
Inside the New Relationship
A source close to the couple revealed that while things are going well, the relationship is still in its early stages. "It's early days but they're already getting close," the insider told The Sun. "They've been on a few dates and it's going really well but it's nothing serious yet."
The source added that while Morgan prefers to keep his personal life private, Leah's excitement got the better of her. "He wants to keep it under wraps, but Leah just couldn't help herself. She's due a bit of luck in love after her nightmare on Love Island," they said.
Contrasting Public Profiles
The new relationship brings together two figures from very different public spheres. Morgan Rogers, a regular in England squads under manager Thomas Tuchel, has scored once in 12 international games and is known for being intensely private off the pitch. His getaway with Leah came just days before he scored twice in Aston Villa's 2-1 victory at Leeds United last Sunday.
In contrast, Leah Taylor found fame on the ITV2 dating show Love Island, where her time in the villa was marked by dramatic relationships. She initially coupled up with Tyrique Hyde, then moved to Mitch Taylor, before being strategically split from him by producers and paired with semi-professional footballer Montel McKenzie. She was ultimately dumped from the show in a viewer vote.
Following her post-villa breakup with Montel amid speculation of infidelity, Leah had previously spoken to the Daily Mail about her readiness to find a serious partner. "I am genuinely at a place where I feel healed, and I am ready to date again. I would love to meet someone," she said. She emphasised her intention to find a lasting relationship, stating, "I want the next man I'm with to be my husband... I am dating with more intention."
Representatives for both Morgan Rogers and Leah Taylor have been contacted by the Daily Mail for comment.
