World No 2 golfer Nelly Korda has announced her engagement to Casey Gunderson, sharing the news with her 1.2 million Instagram followers on Black Friday. The 27-year-old posted a series of romantic photos of the couple on a beach, captioned 'In this life… & the next' with a ring emoji.
Korda, a 15-time LPGA Tour winner and two-time major champion, has kept her personal life largely private. Her fiancé, Casey Gunderson, is a Vice President at Florida Engineering and a former Division 1 wide receiver for Bryant University's football team.
Fellow professionals, including her sister Jessica Korda, Morgan Pressel, Lexi Thompson, Michelle Wie, and Rose Zhang, offered congratulations. WNBA star Caitlin Clark and NBA legend LeBron James also sent their best wishes, as did the Green Bay Packers, Korda's favourite NFL team.
The engagement comes weeks after her brother, tennis player Sebastian Korda, proposed to his long-time girlfriend Ivana Nedved. Nelly Korda previously dated NHL player Andreas Athanasio, but the relationship ended some time ago.
Korda finished the 2025 season without a win, having won seven times in a record-breaking 2024. She recorded two runner-up finishes and seven top-10s this year, never missing a cut.
