Alex Kingston to Dance in Blackpool Despite Rib Injury

Alex Kingston's future on Strictly Come Dancing has been confirmed after concerns she might have to withdraw due to a rib injury. The 62-year-old actress, partnered with Johannes Radebe, will perform a cha-cha-cha to Ring My Bell by Anita Ward this weekend, as announced by It Takes Two presenter Fleur East.

Kingston sustained a dislocated rib, which her daughter Salome revealed in an Instagram comment, sparking fears she might quit. However, the Doctor Who star reassured fans on Instagram, stating she is 'completely fine' and that the injury is 'minor' and 'part and parcel' of dancing at such levels.

This comes amid a series plagued by withdrawals. Before the live shows, Kristian Nairn withdrew on medical advice, and Dani Dyer broke her ankle. Later, Stefan Dennis and La Voix also pulled out due to injuries, leading to no elimination last weekend.
