Amy Schumer Shows Off Dramatic Weight Loss Amid Marriage Rumours
Amy Schumer Weight Loss Sparks Divorce Speculation

Comedian Amy Schumer has revealed a dramatic physical transformation, showcasing significant weight loss attributed to the diabetes drug Mounjaro while conspicuously appearing without her wedding ring during a recent Instagram photoshoot.

Stunning Transformation Sparks Speculation

The 44-year-old entertainment star displayed her slimmest figure in decades during a home photoshoot last Saturday, crediting the trendy GLP-1 agonist medication she began using earlier this year. Standing at 5ft 7in, Schumer looked remarkably different in a cleavage-enhancing beige Valentino mini-dress adorned with ruffles and bows, complemented by black sling-back pumps selected by stylist Brenda Tolentino.

Noticeably absent from Schumer's finger was her wedding band, fuelling speculation about the state of her seven-year marriage to chef Chris Fischer. The native New Yorker shared the staircase photos with her six-year-old son Gene Fischer, whose face was discreetly covered with emojis for privacy.

Marriage Under Strain

A close friend exclusively revealed to the Daily Mail on November 13 that Schumer's marriage appears to be reaching its conclusion. "Amy is 100 percent getting divorced. She got skinny, she is over it," the source claimed, adding that Fischer has largely moved out of their shared homes.

The couple have reportedly listed two properties in Brooklyn and New Orleans, while Schumer has wiped her husband from Instagram before deleting her entire account. Despite these actions, the comedian previously asserted on Instagram Stories that "Chris and I are still married" while praising Hulu's new divorce attorney series, according to People magazine.

The pair originally met through Schumer's personal assistant, who happens to be Fischer's sister, marrying just five months after their initial meeting. Fischer, 45, has Asperger's Syndrome, and the couple have three frozen embryos intended to provide a sibling for their son via surrogate.

Celebrity Weight Loss Trend

Schumer's transformation comes after what she described as a "horrible experience" with Ozempic in 2022 that left her bedridden. In contrast, she enthusiastically endorsed Mounjaro on April 9, stating: "I'm loving being on Mounjaro and I haven't found that it's affected anything [side effects wise]."

The FDA has officially approved only three GLP-1 drugs specifically for weight loss: Wegovy, Saxenda, and Zepbound, while others like Mounjaro are primarily intended for type 2 diabetes patients. Schumer joins numerous celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, Kelly Clarkson, and Elon Musk who have openly discussed using diabetic injectables for weight management.

For her recent photoshoot, Schumer enlisted an impressive team of beauty professionals, including facial specialist Georgia Louise, makeup artist Gita Bass who contoured her newly defined features, and hairstylist Jae Manuel Cardenas who styled her signature blonde hair. The Midi Health investor had previously undergone liposuction in 2022.

Schumer, who boasts 16.5 million social media followers, captioned her Instagram slideshow: "Trying to go to the party but someone won't go to bed," referencing her son's bedtime resistance. The Emmy-winning producer continues to work on upcoming projects, including serving producing and script editing duties for Yadin Gellman's rom-com Now More Than Ever.
