Speaking after the match, Slot addressed the speculation head-on. "I am feeling safe," he stated. "I am OK, I have got a lot of support from above." He acknowledged the normalcy of questions being asked during such a poor run but emphasised his regular, trust-filled conversations with the club's decision-makers.
"We do have those conversations but they do not call me every single minute to tell me that they still trust me," Slot explained, "but we do have the normal conversations and in those I feel the trust."

The squad is now facing a critical test. After a day off on Friday, the team will undergo recovery on Thursday and train on Saturday before travelling to London.
Their next challenge is a Premier League clash against West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday. The fixture has now become a must-win encounter for Slot, a task made tougher by the fact that Nuno Espirito Santo's West Ham have won two and drawn one of their last three games.
