Jimmy Bullard is said to be 'seeking revenge' on his rival Adam Thomas when they reunite at the live final of I'm A Celebrity on Friday. The pair locked horns during a Bushtucker Trial in South Africa last year when Jimmy refused to do a trial and put Adam's place on the show at risk since they were partnered up for the task.
Despite fears Jimmy was planning on pulling out of the final, hosts Ant and Dec confirmed on Thursday that he would be in attendance. Now it's been claimed that Jimmy is going to use his time on the show to give his version of events.
A source said: 'He is also not afraid to say exactly what he thinks — and that means he won't be toeing ITV's line. Jimmy knows the truth about what happened. He's ready to tell his story.'
The insider concluded to The Sun: 'It's the ultimate sweet revenge.' Daily Mail has contacted Jimmy's representatives for comment.
Jimmy's alleged plans follows reports earlier in the week that Jimmy faced losing 20 per cent of his show fee if he refused to appear in the final after his tense departure from the show. The footballer left the show under a cloud, having uttered 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here' during a team trial.
Adam, 37, who was also competing with his campmate, was left furious and shouted: 'Jimmy, are you f***ing taking the p***? I am in there getting covered in f***ing ants.' Jimmy replied: 'Woah, calm down. That's pathetic.' It is understood the pair are still not on speaking terms.
While Jimmy is set to attend the final, there is one campmate who is unable to make it. On Thursday evening, Beverley Callard revealed that she won't be attending on medical advice - after being forced to quit the show due to ill health before being diagnosed with breast cancer.
The series was pre-recorded in Kruger National Park last year, with the actress, 69, forced to leave on medical grounds after 'a funny turn'. Four months after filming, she was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer.
She said in an Instagram video from her current home in Dublin: 'Yesterday, I should have flown to England to get ready for the I'm A Celeb final. I was so excited and looking forward to it but on medical advice, I can't go, I am absolutely gutted. I was dying to see them all and it would have been brilliant. I can't go and yesterday, the flights were booked and everything but no, they said, it is basically too long a day with flying there and then a very late night, so here I am. I will be watching and I will be on Zoom chatting to everybody. So I've got to make the best of a bad job but I am resting and I am doing as I am told. Thanks to everybody.'
She penned in the caption of the post: 'A last minute change of plans…Absolutely gutted but I know it's for the best. Resting up and getting well is more important at the moment.'
The I'm A Celebrity live final airs on Friday at 7.30pm on ITV.
