Corey Feldman Hospitalised After Mid-Flight Emergency

Corey Feldman, star of The Goonies and Stand By Me, was rushed to hospital after suffering a medical emergency mid-flight. The 54-year-old actor was taken to hospital after his flight from Chicago to Los Angeles landed at LAX on Monday afternoon.

A Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson confirmed they responded to the airport to assist a 54-year-old male. The patient was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

Reports indicate that the 1980s teen star was feeling unwell on the flight. A doctor who was a fellow passenger is said to have examined him while the plane was still in the air.

Doctors Suspect Pancreatitis or Gallstones

According to TMZ, doctors believe Feldman may be experiencing pancreatitis, an inflammation of the pancreas, or gallstones. The NHS describes pancreatitis as a condition requiring urgent attention.

"Acute pancreatitis is a serious condition where your pancreas suddenly becomes swollen and painful (inflamed)," their website states.

Returning from Stand By Me Anniversary

Feldman had been returning from Chicago, where he attended a 40th anniversary celebration of Stand By Me. He was joined by co-stars Jerry O'Connell and Wil Wheaton.

In The Goonies, Feldman played Clark 'Mouth' Devereaux, a character known for his sharp wit and talkative nature. He was a major star in the 1980s, also appearing in The Lost Boys in 1987.

Activism and Personal Struggles

In recent years, Feldman has been vocal about child abuse in Hollywood, sharing his own experiences and working to raise awareness. His personal life has included battles with substance abuse.

Feldman was a friend of Michael Jackson. Before heading to Chicago, he revealed on Instagram that he had visited the singer's childhood home in Gary, Indiana, to "pay respects" around the anniversary of Jackson's death. Jackson died on June 25, 2009, at age 50 from a heart attack caused by a drug overdose.

Family and Career

Feldman has been married three times: to Vanessa Marcil (1989–1993), Susie Sprague (2002–2014), and Courtney Anne Mitchell (since 2016). He continues to work on music and acting projects while remaining active in activism.
