Trump Health Fears Reignite After Unhealthy Birthday Dinner

Donald Trump has sparked renewed health speculation after indulging in a calorie-heavy birthday meal over the weekend. The US President's 80th birthday followed months of rumors about ill health, fueled by noticeable bruising, swelling, and apparent memory loss.

Birthday Dinner Menu Raises Eyebrows

His new daughter-in-law, Bettina Trump, who married Donald Trump Jr. last month, reignited guesswork about Mr. Trump's condition by sharing a glimpse of his birthday celebrations. A photo posted on Instagram revealed the menu for the octogenarian's lavish dinner, which included a bacon-covered salad with buttermilk ranch and blue cheese dressing, herb-roasted turkey with bread stuffing, mashed potatoes, and gravy. Desserts featured a chiffon birthday cake served with vanilla ice cream and crème chantilly.

UFC Event at White House

Mr. Trump also celebrated his birthday with a mixed martial arts event at the White House, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event on Sunday also marked America's 250th anniversary of independence. The President has never hidden his love for unhealthy food, famously installing a Diet Coke button in the Oval Office during both of his terms.

Record-Breaking Medical Examination

The latest example of his taste for rich cuisine comes after he was examined by a record-breaking 22 specialists during one check-up. While it is unclear what specialties the physicians represented, the appointment set a record for the highest number present at a single examination of any US leader.

Jonathan Reiner, who served as cardiologist for former Vice President Dick Cheney, called the number "extraordinary" and criticized the administration's "lack of candour" regarding Mr. Trump's health. He told the Washington Post: "The White House just doesn't seem to want to acknowledge any physical ailment, but older people develop medical issues, and the president is 80 years old."

White House Physician's Statement

White House physician Sean Barbabella has maintained that the president is in "excellent health" and remains "fully fit" to serve. He stated that Mr. Trump demonstrates "strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological and overall physical function" and has received preventive care counseling, including guidance on diet and increased physical activity.
