Stranger Things Fan Predicts Season 5 Deaths From Poster Clue
Stranger Things Fan Predicts Season 5 Deaths

With the final season of Stranger Things poised to hit Netflix this month, a popular online sleuth has sent the fandom into a frenzy with a chilling prediction about which beloved characters might not survive the battle for Hawkins.

The 'TV Detective's' Ominous Discovery

Ivan Mars, known as the TV Detective to his 3.1 million TikTok followers, has analysed the official Season 5 poster and spotted a pattern that he believes foreshadows tragedy. He points to a specific promotional tactic used in the previous season that accurately predicted a character's demise.

'I was watching Stranger Things and wait to see what I just realised,' Ivan told his followers. He recalled that in the Season 4 poster, which featured Nancy, Steve, Robin, and Eddie in the Upside Down, only Eddie's bike had its light turned on. Tragically, Eddie did not make it out of the season alive.

Applying this logic to the new key art, Ivan highlights a worrying detail: 'In the new season 5 poster, the protagonists appear on their bikes and only Will and Dustin's bikes have their lights on... Could that be a clue about what's coming for them?'

A Pattern Seen in Other Hit Shows

Mars bolstered his theory by citing a similar trend in the promotional material for the global phenomenon, Squid Game. He explained that the show's poster placed the three eventual finalists in a central triangle, a pattern that reportedly held true for both its first and second seasons.

'It may be the same pattern,' he stated. 'Only time will tell, but if the posters are any clue, then things might get darker than we think...'

The fan theory has sparked intense debate online, with viewers flocking to the comments to voice their hopes and fears for the characters.

Fan Reaction and What's Next for Hawkins

The fan response to the theory has been passionate and divided. One alarmed viewer wrote, 'No no no, I refuse to believe it!' Another argued against the prediction, stating, 'I don't think Will or Dustin will die. Will would be too obvious, and besides, Joyce's character and her whole storyline wouldn't make sense then. As for Dustin he's way too smart to die.'

A third fan expressed concern for the show's future, commenting, 'We can't lose Will and Dustin. It's going to get boring especially if Dustin dies then Stranger Things is cooked.'

The new season picks up after the devastating events of Season 4, where the friends seemingly defeated Vecna, but his plan succeeded, causing the Upside Down to bleed into Hawkins and wreak mass destruction. Meanwhile, Max remains in a coma after her near-death experience opened the final gate.

Stranger Things Season 5 will be released in three volumes, with the first part arriving for UK viewers on November 27. The second volume is scheduled for Christmas Day, and the epic finale will drop on New Year's Eve, bringing the beloved series to a close.
