Romeo Beckham Makes Met Gala Debut Without Estranged Brother Brooklyn
Romeo Beckham's Met Gala Debut Without Brooklyn

Romeo Beckham made his Met Gala debut on the first Monday in May, but there was no awkward reunion with his estranged brother Brooklyn, who skipped the event. Fans had anticipated that both eldest Beckham brothers would attend the prestigious fashion event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. However, it was only Romeo, 23, who graced the steps of the Met, with Brooklyn absent for the second consecutive year, despite being a regular attendee in the past.

Brooklyn's Absence Continues

In 2024, Brooklyn attended the event solo while his wife Nicola Peltz spent time with her late grandmother, who was unwell. Prior to that, the couple had attended together every year from 2021. But this year, it was Romeo's turn to take the spotlight, as he was invited by British heritage brand Burberry.

Brooklyn last attended the gala with Nicola in 2023. His absence in 2025 fueled speculation about the ongoing family feud, as the brothers have not spoken for more than a year.

Romeo's Debut Appearance

Romeo made a splash during his debut appearance alongside supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, a Burberry ambassador. They were joined on the red carpet by Burberry's Chief Creative Officer, Daniel Lee. Romeo cut a cool figure in a double-breasted jacket with leather lapels, paired with a matching shirt and tie in the same fabric.

Rosie wore a dark brown Burberry dress that cinched at the waist to emphasize her minuscule waist. The ruched skirt clung to her frame and featured a thigh-high slit at the front, while she accessorized the look with a sparkling silver necklace and matching earrings.

There was no doubt relief to dodge an awkward red carpet encounter, as the brothers' relationship remains strained. Romeo was in New York over the weekend attending one of the pre-parties for the event, which is typically one of Brooklyn's favorite annual events.
