Kit Harington on 'Vile' Kiss with Sophie Turner

Fans of the epic fantasy series Game of Thrones will see two of its most beloved stars reunited, but their dynamic is about to take a shocking turn. Kit Harington and Sophie Turner, who portrayed the devoted sibling duo Jon Snow and Sansa Stark for eight seasons, are now playing lovers in the upcoming Gothic horror film, The Dreadful.

From Siblings to Lovers: An Awkward Transition

Harington has been candid about the peculiar shift in their relationship, admitting that the new romantic dynamic felt very odd. Given their extensive history as brother and sister on one of television's most popular shows, the actor even warned Turner beforehand that their intimate scenes were going to be really f***ing weird.

This forewarning did little to ease the initial discomfort. Both actors described their first kissing scene together as embarrassing and, in Harington's own words, vile. He even joked about the practicalities of the moment, playfully mentioning that he needed an apple box to stand on to kiss Turner due to the significant height difference between them.

A Cherished Reunion On Set

Despite the early awkwardness, the experience of working together again was overwhelmingly positive for the pair. Harington revealed that their friendship completely ignited again while on the set of The Dreadful. He fondly described the atmosphere as being like being with family, suggesting that their deep-rooted off-screen bond ultimately helped them navigate the challenging new roles.

The film, which is directed by Natasha Kermani, also features acclaimed actors Marcia Gay Harden and Jonathan Howard. However, eager fans will have to wait a little longer to see the former siblings' new dynamic, as a release date has not yet been announced for the project.
