Kim Kardashian and Stevie Nicks Lead Best Dressed at Met Gala 2026
Kim K and Stevie Nicks Shine at Met Gala 2026

Kim Kardashian and Stevie Nicks dazzled as they turned heads at The Met Gala. The reality star turned trainee lawyer looked sensational as she stepped out in a custom-designed orange breastplate, while Fleetwood Mac's Stevie made her debut at the annual event.

Kim Kardashian's Show-Stopping Look

Kim Kardashian turned heads at the Met Gala in a tangerine fibreglass breastplate by British pop artist and sculptor Allen Jones. The reality star's armoured look, repurposed from a cast Jones made in the 1960s, was paired with a leather skirt by London-based studio Whitaker Malem. "I have seen his work referenced so many times by people in fashion, and I've always been a big admirer of his work," she told Vogue of her desire to work with Jones.

Stevie Nicks Makes Her Debut

Fleetwood Mac legend Stevie Nicks made her Met Gala debut wearing a blue velvet gown from Zara x John Galliano. The superstar singer opted for a top hat and kept her make-up simple for the event.

Co-Chairs and Sponsorship

For the first time in Met Gala history, the event wasn't sponsored by a brand; instead, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sanchez contributed £7.37 million for the gathering. They were named honorary co-chairs alongside Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Dame Anna Wintour. This year's theme was "Fashion Is Art," with guests encouraged to "explore their relationship to fashion as an embodied art form and celebrate depictions of the dressed body throughout art history."

Other Notable Attendees

  • Venus Williams: Co-chair Venus wore a custom Swarovski crystal mesh gown, with a necklace re-creating the Wimbledon plate and incorporating her family and career.
  • Kris Jenner: The Kardashian-Jenner matriarch wore a custom Dolce & Gabbana gown.
  • Rihanna: Pop superstar Rihanna was the last to arrive, as is her tradition, with special permission from Dame Anna.
  • Cher: Cher wore a Burberry silk tulle twisted dress.
  • Cardi B: Cardi B turned heads in a custom Marc Jacobs lace ruffle dress over a color-blocked bodysuit.
  • Beyoncé: One of this year's co-chairs, Beyoncé returned to the Met after a decade, wearing an Olivier Rousteing gown.

Vogue reported that it took 500 hours of handwork to complete Sombr's look for this year's Met.
