British rock band Razorlight have announced a tour across the UK and Ireland to commemorate 20 years since the release of their eponymous hit album. The group will perform in November and December, with shows in Glasgow, Newcastle, Wolverhampton, Leeds, Nottingham, Manchester, London, Bristol, Belfast, and Dublin.
Original Line-Up to Perform Album in Full
The original line-up of frontman Johnny Borrell, drummer Andy Burrows, guitarist Bjorn Agren, and bassist Carl Dalemo will play the record from start to finish. The album, titled Razorlight, topped the UK album chart in 2006 and produced the number one single 'America'. Fans can expect classics like 'In The Morning', 'Before I Fall To Pieces', and 'I Can't Stop This Feeling I've Got'.
Borrell said: 'The album itself started to sound like a greatest hits. That's when you know you're alright. Me and Andy fell into this groove of writing, just this amazing musical connection. When you do that, it's like falling in love; it's just this sort of mutual intoxication and we just couldn't stop writing.'
Tour Support Acts
The band will be supported by London punk-inspired duo The Molotovs, with The K's joining during their OVO Arena Wembley show in December. The European run will also feature support acts.
Razorlight emerged from the same London music scene as The Libertines and Amy Winehouse, climbing the charts with hits like 'America' and 'Wire To Wire'. The band re-formed in 2021 for their best-of compilation tour, 'Razorwhat? The Best Of Razorlight'.
Tickets for the 20th anniversary tour go on general sale on Friday, June 19 at 9am.
