Prince William's Favorite Meal: Kate's Roast Chicken

Princess Kate Middleton may have plenty of royal responsibilities, but she still finds time to whip up her husband's favorite dish. Indeed, Kate is said to find cooking for her family a welcome way to unwind after a demanding day. The Princess regularly prepares dinner for husband Prince William and their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

While Kate is said to have a taste for spicier fare, favoring a hot veggie curry when she's not sticking to her usual daily diet, Prince William's personal favorite is considerably more understated. A keen cook, the Princess is said to rustle up roast chicken for her royal husband, which is reportedly his most-loved meal.

Royal Roast Chicken Tradition

In 2012, royal correspondent Katie Nicholl told Vanity Fair of the Duchess: "In the evenings she indulges her hobby of cooking William's favorite supper, roast chicken." The Prince's fondness for a roast suggests the Wales household likely follows a Sunday dinner routine not too dissimilar from countless families up and down the country.

Diverse Family Cuisines

Though roast chicken holds the top spot for William, the royal family also enjoys a wide range of cuisines, including Italian pasta dishes, pizza, and steak, as reported by the Liverpool Echo. William himself has admitted that while he is "not very good" at cooking, he is perfectly happy to throw a steak on the grill, with a medium-rare finish being his preference.

On a visit to St Luke's Community Centre in London, Kate got stuck in alongside her children as they made their own pizzas. Reflecting on the experience, she said: "I've done that with George and Charlotte, making pizza dough. They love it because they can get their hands messy."
