Reality TV star and broadcaster Zara McDermott has made a candid confession about her cosmetic procedures, revealing she has stopped getting Botox and fillers as she enters what she calls her 'natural era'.

The 29-year-old former Love Island contestant shared the personal update in a 'December week' vlog posted to her YouTube channel on Sunday. Speaking openly to the camera, McDermott admitted she had recently been feeling in a 'funk' about her appearance, citing winter paleness, hormonal breakouts, and a need to focus more on skincare.
'I'm definitely adjusting to my face without the Botox in, because I stopped getting Botox,' she said. 'There's a bit of an adjustment to do after you stop getting Botox and you're like, 'wow, I have natural expressions,' which is obviously natural and perfect and amazing.'
The Confidence Journey Beyond Artificial Enhancements
McDermott explained that her decision to forego artificial enhancements is part of a broader journey towards self-acceptance. She acknowledged that confidence does not automatically appear once you stop such treatments, but is instead a process of learning and growth.
'I suppose that the point of going through this transition to becoming a more natural version of myself means letting go of the artificial things that made me feel confident before,' she reflected. 'And that confidence doesn't just completely come when you decide you're not going to get Botox anymore. I'm not going to get filler anymore. That confidence doesn't just come - it's a process.'
