William and Kate Mark 15th Anniversary with Charity Visit

The Prince and Princess of Wales marked their 15th wedding anniversary with a surprise visit to IntoUniversity, an education charity that benefited from their Royal Wedding Gift Fund in 2011.

Celebrating with Purpose

Prince William and Princess Kate joined Year 5 students from Victory Primary School at the charity's Walworth site, participating in immersive educational activities and workshops. IntoUniversity helps disadvantaged young people achieve their potential, and the royal gift fund provided crucial support at a pivotal time in the charity's development.

The Royal Wedding Gift Fund

Set up so well-wishers could donate to charities instead of giving wedding gifts, the fund raised over £1 million for causes close to the couple's hearts. IntoUniversity was one of 26 charities selected.

The Visit

William and Kate joined a workshop supporting students' aspirations and skills, including an astronomy exploration, team challenges, and a creative design task about living in space. Rachel Carr, CEO of IntoUniversity, expressed gratitude for the lasting impact of the fund and the memorable visit.

Private Celebrations

After the visit, the couple reportedly had lunch at The Goring hotel in London, where Kate stayed before their wedding. They also shared a new family photo on social media, showing them barefoot in the grass with their children and dog during an Easter holiday in Cornwall.

A Look Back

William and Kate met over 20 years ago at the University of St Andrews, married at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011, and famously kissed on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
