A Family's Loss and a Private Farewell

Her former partner, actor Matt Passmore, with whom she shared a long romance after meeting on the set of McLeod's Daughters in 2006, also paid his respects. He shared a photograph with the simple, poignant caption: "Farewell, my friend."

A Celebrated Career on Screen

Rachael Carpani was best known for her role as Jodi Fountain in the hit Australian series McLeod's Daughters, which she starred in from 2001 until 2009. Her performance earned her a nomination for the prestigious Silver Logie for Most Popular Actress in 2007, as well as a nomination for the Gold Logie.

Her film credits included The Very Excellent Mr Dundee, Hating Alison Ashley, and The Way Back. Most recently, she played the villainous Claudia Salini in the long-running soap Home and Away in 2022.
