Taylor Swift's Sourdough Obsession: Celebs Gifted 'TayLoaf' at Este Haim's Wedding Party
Taylor Swift Gifts Celebrity Pals Her Homemade Sourdough Bread

Taylor Swift's latest passion project has become a delicious talking point among her famous friends, with the superstar personally gifting her homemade sourdough bread to attendees of Este Haim's wedding celebrations in Los Angeles.

The Sourdough Sensation at a Star-Studded Event

On Friday night, celebrities were spotted departing the exclusive Bird Streets Club in Los Angeles carrying distinctive bakery packages. The carefully wrapped parcels contained Taylor Swift's now-famous homemade sourdough, gifted during the wedding afterparty for musician Este Haim of the band Haim.

Among those believed to have received the artisan bread were the new bride Este and her sisters, Danielle and Alana Haim, alongside singer Shane Michael Boose, known professionally as Sombr. While Swift herself wasn't photographed leaving the venue, her culinary creations certainly made an exit, documented in pictures obtained by the Daily Mail.

From Kitchen Hobby to Celebrity Accessory

This baking endeavour isn't a new development. In August 2025, the 36-year-old singer revealed her deep dive into bread-making on the New Heights podcast, hosted by her fiancé Travis Kelce and his brother Jason. She explained that since concluding her monumental Eras tour, she'd developed what she called a "sourdough obsession" that dominates her conversations.

"I'm really talking about bread 60 per cent of the time now," Swift joked during the interview. She described constantly baking and seeking feedback from friends, asking them detailed questions about different rising techniques to perfect her recipe.

The packaging for her latest gifts showcased Swift's trademark playful style. Stickers on the bags featured bread-related puns nodding to her song lyrics, including "Are you bready for it?" and "It's a loaf story" – a clever twist on her hit Love Story.

Fan Reactions and Previous Recipients

Images of celebrities casually carrying Swift's sourdough like the latest must-have accessory quickly circulated online, sparking amused reactions from fans. One social media user wrote, "Oh to be blessed with TayLoaf," while another declared, "The only Taylor Swift merch I want is Taylor's sourdough."

A third fan observed the surreal nature of the situation, posting: "Taylor Swift's sourdough becoming an accessory like a designer bag to people is the funniest s**t I have ever seen in my life."

Swift's sourdough has found its way to other A-list kitchens before this event. Talk show host Jimmy Fallon previously praised her baking skills on social media after receiving a loaf, captioning a photo of avocado toast: "Not gonna lie: Taylor actually makes the best sourdough."

In July 2025, close friend Selena Gomez received a birthday package containing fresh sourdough and a Le Labo candle. The bread for Gomez and her then-fiancé Benny Blanco was tagged with the same "It's a loaf story" note.

Reflecting on her traditional hobbies during her podcast appearance, Swift characterised them as activities one might have enjoyed centuries ago. "I'd say all my hobbies could be categorised as, like, hobbies you could have had in the 1700s," she said. "We're very deep in a sourdough obsession that has taken over my life."

For now, it appears that obsession is yielding tasty results, much to the delight of her inner circle who get to sample the fruits – or rather, the loaves – of her labour.
