The future of the all-stars edition of I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! has been revealed following a tumultuous live final that saw hosts Ant and Dec step in to mediate a heated confrontation between former contestants.
The pre-recorded ITV series, I'm a Celebrity: South Africa, brought back past participants from the long-running reality show. It first aired in 2023, with Myleene Klass crowned Queen of the Jungle. After a three-year hiatus, the show returned, but despite strong ratings, ITV has no immediate plans for another season. According to The Sun, the next all-stars series is scheduled for 2029, while the regular I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! will air as usual this November with a fresh set of contestants.
The decision comes after the most chaotic live final in the show's history, which reunited contestants eight months after filming. The tension erupted when Jimmy Bullard and David Haye repeatedly interrupted Ant and Dec, accusing ITV of editing out a row between Bullard and actor Adam Thomas. The original argument occurred when Bullard quit the show, a move that would have also sent Thomas home. Thomas was furious, and the fallout spilled into the live final on 24 April.
Around 2.8 million viewers watched the stars face off once more. A source told The Sun: "The aim was never for it to be made or be on air in 2027, even though there may be an appetite for that right now. The aim was to deliver something as a special show that was on from time to time, not an annual revisit like the main I'm a Celebrity show."
During the final, Bullard repeatedly accused Thomas of being "abusive, aggressive and intimidating," claiming ITV "didn't show" any of Thomas's alleged "c-bombs." When Ant McPartlin said he didn't find Thomas's behaviour aggressive, the crowd chanted Thomas's name, prompting contestant Sinitta to walk off set, stating, "It was abusive – you weren't there." Gemma Collins, who had defended Thomas, followed her off stage, leaving Bullard and Haye vying for screen time. Fellow contestants Ashley Roberts, Seann Walsh, and Harry Redknapp looked visibly uncomfortable.
Despite the chaos, Thomas won the show with 58% of the vote, followed by Mo Farah on 32% and Redknapp on 10%. After the episode, footage showed Haye and Bullard leaving the studio, with Bullard saying, "We got kicked out!" When asked why, Haye replied, "For trying to tell the truth." A show source confirmed that some campmates were uncomfortable being on stage with them, so they were sent home during Unpacked.
