The 44-year-old, who lost her role as a host on The Project when the programme was axed in June, showcased her trim physique in an all-black Adidas activewear set. She was seen having a friendly chat with her close pal and former colleague, Jessica Rowe, 55, in Centennial Park.
Harris kept her blonde hair tucked under a wide-brimmed black hat and completed her sporty look with comfortable black sneakers. In contrast, Jessica Rowe opted for a vibrant ensemble of ripped jean shorts and a bright pink floral-patterned shirt.
Life After The Project's Cancellation
The relaxed park meeting comes after a significant career shift for Harris. She made a light-hearted plea for work during a June appearance on Nova FM's The Real Story podcast, jokingly directing listeners to her LinkedIn profile and stating she was open to 'any employment'.
However, the conversation took a more serious turn as she reflected on the wider impact of the show's end. Harris expressed particular concern for the more than 50 behind-the-scenes staff who lost their jobs, many of whom were young or had major financial commitments.
A Changing Media Landscape
During the podcast, Harris spoke candidly about the challenges facing the television industry. She remarked that 'social media killed the TV star', highlighting the intense competition for audience attention in the current media climate.
While it was reported that on-air presenters like Harris, Waleed Aly, and Georgie Tunny were offered contract extensions until the year's end, many production staff are believed to have received only a few weeks' notice before seeking new employment.
