Rebel Wilson's Greggs Obsession: The Pastry She and Kiefer Sutherland Love
Rebel Wilson reveals her Greggs pastry obsession

Australian actress Rebel Wilson has disclosed a delicious secret from the set of her latest film: a shared obsession with the British bakery chain Greggs, particularly their sausage rolls.

From Yorkshire Accents to Pastry Cravings

The Pitch Perfect star, 45, made the revelation while promoting her new Christmas film, Tinsel Town, on ITV's This Morning. Wilson explained that she and her co-star, Canadian actor Kiefer Sutherland, developed a passion for the high-street bakery's goods while shooting in locations including Leeds and Harrogate.

Wilson, who adopted a Yorkshire accent for her role, said she was given "about four days' notice" to perfect the dialect. She described the film's premise, which sees Sutherland play a washed-up Hollywood action star tricked into a British pantomime, as "very, very British".

The Greggs Van That Conquered the Film Set

The actress's affection for Greggs was cemented when the film crew arranged for a dedicated van to serve the baked goods on set in Leeds. Wilson described the taste of Greggs' sausage rolls as "the most exquisite".

"Kiefer is obsessed with them, so we got a Greggs van on set," Wilson told hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard. She shared an amusing anecdote about how Sutherland insisted on the van despite the catering team's attempt at a "meatless Wednesday" initiative.

The move was a hit with the entire crew. As a token of appreciation, Greggs presented both stars with a £50 voucher, which Wilson noted she still hasn't used up due to the chain's famously good value.

A Golden Greggs Hamper and Other British Loves

During her television appearance, the hosts surprised Wilson with a gold selection Greggs hamper filled with an assortment of baked treats. The actress didn't hold back in her endorsement, urging viewers: "If people don't know about the quality that is Greggs, just get into it like me and Kiefer did."

Her admiration for British culture extends beyond pastries. Wilson also confessed her love for Cadbury Creme Eggs and expressed hope that a potential Pitch Perfect 4 could film in the UK, noting that "the fans are so hungry for another one".

Wilson rose to international fame following the 2012 release of Pitch Perfect, a film starring Anna Kendrick about an all-women a cappella group, the Barden Bellas.
