Nicola Peltz Unveils Gory Behind-the-Scenes from FX's The Beauty Series
Actress Nicola Peltz has offered fans a chilling glimpse behind the scenes of her role in the FX body horror series The Beauty, sharing graphic makeup photos and praising the production team. The 31-year-old star portrayed a younger version of Isabella Rossellini's character Franny in the show's final episode, which aired recently.
Graphic Transformation and On-Set Moments
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Peltz posted several images from her time filming the series. These included close-up shots of the gruesome special effects makeup applied to her neck, featuring copious amounts of fake blood. One photo captured the makeup team meticulously applying the gory details, while another showed Peltz filming a scene alongside co-star Ashton Kutcher.
Her husband, Brooklyn Beckham, also made an appearance in the behind-the-scenes collection, with Peltz sharing a snap of him observing from behind the cameras. In her caption, she expressed gratitude, writing: 'Thank you to the incredible team behind @thebeautyfx for including me in your magically wild world. I'm so honored to have been Franny.'
Franny's Harrowing Storyline in The Beauty
In the series, Franny falls victim to a terrifying age-reversing beauty drug forcibly administered by her two sons, despite its horrific side effects that cause users to explode into goo. After being injected, she awakens as a younger version of herself, portrayed by Peltz, who channels Rossellini's iconic look from the 1992 film Death Becomes Her with a bejeweled top and low-waisted skirt.
The character emotionally describes feeling 'trapped' in her new body, lamenting: 'I feel like a prisoner, trapped inside a body that is not mine. Everything that I have worked for, everything that I have earned, my scars, my stretch marks, the age I owned, taken from me.' In a desperate protest, she attempts to end her life by digging broken pottery into her neck.
When confronting Kutcher's character, who shockingly asks 'Franny?', she retorts: 'Don't act so f***ing surprised, you smug idiot.' He responds by admitting, 'I admit I'm not... upset. You're so f***ing hot.' The episode concludes with Franny kept on life support against her wishes in a gilded ballroom.
Peltz's Career and Personal Life Highlights
Nicola Peltz is no stranger to screen roles, having starred in projects such as The Bates Motel, The Last Airbender, and Transformers: Age Of Extinction. Her most recent television appearance was in the 2022 miniseries Welcome To Chippendales, and she recently wrote, directed, and starred in the 2024 film Lola.
Off-screen, Peltz recently celebrated husband Brooklyn Beckham's 27th birthday with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, sharing a photo in a balloon-decorated room and writing: 'Happy birthday baby... I hope all your dreams and wishes come true! You light up every room you walk into and anyone who knows you loves you... you're the most special human and I love being your wife.' She also gifted him personalized iced cakes shaped to read 'Happy Birthday Brooklyn.'
Brooklyn's parents, David and Victoria Beckham, shared their own birthday posts, though reports suggest he remains estranged from them while maintaining contact with his grandparents. In a January Instagram statement, Brooklyn alleged his parents tried to sabotage his marriage and prioritized public branding over family relationships.
