Molly-Mae Hague was seen supporting boyfriend Tommy Fury at his boxing match just days after giving birth to their second child. The couple had a jubilant night as they revealed their baby son's name for the first time ahead of Tommy's victory.
Ringside Support
Influencer Molly-Mae, 27, who already shares three-year-old daughter Bambi with Tommy, took a ringside seat to watch her beau defeat the World's Strongest Man, Eddie Hall, on Saturday night at the AO Arena in Manchester. She looked stunning in a fitted cream dress with her blonde hair slicked back in a bun, showing no signs of new baby fatigue.
Before the fight, the mum was seen embracing Tommy in his dressing room, giving him a supportive hug and a kiss. Hours later, he revealed the name of their newborn son: Midas, emblazoned on the back of his jacket.
Victory Dedication
After winning the bout via majority decision, Tommy, also 27, dedicated his victory to his newborn son. He said: "This was for my new baby boy, Midas. It is another Fury, it's another boy."
In the lead-up to the bout, Tommy shared that people seemed more interested in the announcement of his baby's name than the fight itself. He commented: "I think I've been asked more about the name than the actual fight. It's going to be an entertaining night on Saturday and all will be revealed. It's been a huge week for me and it can't be described anything other as a huge blessing."
Family Update
Giving an update on family life, the boxer continued: "I've had a smile on my face all week. Everything's gone smoothly; Molly's happy, everyone's happy. So it's just about getting on to fight night, getting that done, and enjoying the summer with the family. That's what's on my calendar for the foreseeable. It's been the best week that you could ever ask for. A beautiful baby boy, and a main event on Saturday night in my hometown. It's full steam ahead now."
Meaning Behind the Name Midas
In Greek and Roman legend, Midas was a king known for his foolishness and greed, granted the wish that everything he touched turn to gold. This myth gave rise to the phrase 'the Midas touch', describing someone exceptionally successful or profitable. However, Midas realized the curse when he accidentally turned his food, drink, and even his daughter into gold statues. Despaired, he prayed to the gods to remove the curse. When he returned home, everything returned to normal, and he hugged his daughter joyfully, sharing his fortune with his people. From then on, Midas became a generous and grateful king, mourned by all upon his death.
