Hollywood power couple Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves have fully embraced the festive season, releasing a playful and provocative promotional photo that casts them as a decidedly stylish Mr. and Mrs. Claus. The image is part of their ongoing campaign for their joint business venture, Pantalones Organic Tequila.
A Festive Promotion with a Sizzling Twist
The 56-year-old Oscar winner transformed into a 'sexy Santa', relaxing in full Kris Kringle attire complete with traditional boots and a hat. Meanwhile, his 42-year-old wife, model and actress Camila Alves, offered a modern take on Mrs. Claus, wearing a red fur-trimmed mini dress with a matching festive hat. The couple posed with a glittering bottle of their own spirit, with McConaughey shown raising a glass while surrounded by a plate of cookies and his own supply of tequila.
The pair launched Pantalones Organic Tequila in October 2023. The liquor is crafted from 100% blue Weber agave at a family-owned distillery in Jalisco, Mexico. Their initial offering included three types of tequila, with a limited-edition Extra Anejo released more recently. The brand is known for its tongue-in-cheek marketing, which has previously featured the couple in campaigns sans trousers—a playful nod to the brand's Spanish name, which translates to 'trousers'.
Introducing the Nationwide 'Santa Pants' Cocktail
Capitalising on the holiday spirit, Pantalones has announced a new nationwide cocktail called 'Santa Pants'. The festive drink is made with their Pantalones Organic Reposado tequila, a dash of cranberry and lime, topped with ginger beer, and garnished with a cranberry-rosemary sprig. The cocktail will be available at various restaurant chains across the country, including Blue Sushi, Bonefish Grill, Hilton properties, and STK.
Beyond their business partnership, McConaughey and Alves have been married since 2012 and share three children: sons Levi, 16, and Livingston, 12, and daughter Vida, 15. Last month, Alves publicly celebrated her husband's 56th birthday with a shirtless snap of the actor, captioning it with his iconic catchphrase, "Alright, Alright, Alright."
Marital Advice from the Dallas Buyers Club Star
In his latest book, Poems & Prayers released in September, McConaughey dispensed some unconventional marital wisdom. He advocates for ditching a king-size bed in favour of a queen-size to ensure couples stay physically closer. Elaborating to Fox News Digital, the actor explained that after their children grew too big for family beds, he noticed the vast distance in a large bed was detrimental to intimacy. "This damn king size bed is not good for the marriage, man," he recalled thinking. "Get rid of that son of a b****. So we got a queen size where we're shoulder to shoulder. I'm telling you, it's good for your marriage."
The couple continues to blend their personal and professional lives seamlessly, using their charismatic and playful dynamic to drive the success of their organic tequila brand while sharing glimpses of their family philosophy along the way.
