Reality TV star Zara McDermott and former One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson are set to celebrate their first Christmas together in a major milestone for their blossoming romance. The couple, who went public earlier this year, will join Louis's family for festive celebrations, signalling their relationship is becoming increasingly serious.
A Tomlinson Family Christmas
Louis's 21-year-old twin sisters, Daisy and Phoebe, have revealed this year's gathering will be their "biggest Christmas" yet, with the singer inviting his new girlfriend to the family festivities. On their podcast, the twins excitedly shared, "This is a big Christmas this year. It might be our biggest Christmas. Everyone is coming."
They highlighted two new additions to the family circle: "The new baby this year is Flossy [Lottie's second child with fiancé Lewis Burton] as she was born in January, so we already have a new member. And we've got another new member as our brother's got a new girlfriend so that will be nice. I think there will be 16 of us in total."
Relationship Going From Strength to Strength
The couple began dating earlier this year following Zara's split from her long-term partner, Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson. They made their relationship Instagram official with a sweet selfie during the summer. Last month, the pair made a rare joint public appearance at the Grand Prix in Paradise, Nevada, further fuelling speculation about the seriousness of their bond.
Reports suggest that Zara, 28, has now moved into multi-millionaire Louis's north London mansion, having initially returned to her parents' home after ending her five-year relationship with Sam.
"A Christmas to Remember"
A source close to the couple told The Sun, "Louis and Zara are still totally in the honeymoon period and try not to be apart for too long. Their relationship is serious, it's not a flash in the pan. It's going the distance."
The insider emphasised how well Zara has integrated into Louis's family life, stating, "Zara gets on so well with Louis' family, especially his sisters, so he wanted her to be there with them, celebrating." The couple are reportedly looking forward to quality time together after recent work commitments.
The festive plans are extensive: Zara will first celebrate Louis's 33rd birthday on Christmas Eve with the Tomlinson family, before the couple travel to spend time with Zara's own family after the Tomlinson gathering. "They both love their families so much, it is something that attracted them to each other, so it will be a Christmas to remember," the source added.
Ex-Partner Moves On
The news of Zara's festive plans comes as her ex-boyfriend, Sam Thompson, 33, confirmed he is in a new relationship with model Talitha Balinska, 25. Speaking on his Staying Relevant podcast with best friend Pete Wicks, Sam excitedly announced, "I've got a girlfriend. I've got a girlfriend!"
In what appeared to be a subtle dig at his past relationship with Zara, Sam insisted he had no plans to go "Instagram official" with Talitha, stating, "I don't think there's any need for it." When asked if he would recreate festive couple photos—a hallmark of his previous relationship where he and Zara famously wore matching pyjamas with their cats—Sam was firm: "I've done that before and I want to do a complete opposite of that this time..."
Louis's sister, Made In Chelsea star Louise, 35, appeared to give her approval to Sam's new romance in October, sharing a snap of Sam and Talitha roasting marshmallows.
