I'm A Celeb's Lisa Riley sparks marriage rumours after calling partner Al 'husband'
Lisa Riley hints at secret marriage after I'm A Celeb exit

Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley has sent fans into a frenzy by hinting she may have secretly married her partner of ten years, Al, following her exit from I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

Did 'Husband' Comment Reveal A Secret Wedding?

The speculation began during her appearance on the show's spin-off, I'm A Celebrity... Unpacked, with host Joel Dommett. Discussing a light-hearted moment where she admitted to 'lusting' over co-host Ant McPartlin in the jungle, Riley casually remarked: "And it's caused a bit of fury with my husband, he's fine."

This clear reference to Al as her "husband" immediately raised eyebrows, as the couple are known to be engaged but not yet married. When probed further, the actress, famed for playing Mandy Dingle, attempted to downplay the terminology.

"When we go to the bank, he will say 'that's my wife' and I will call him 'my husband'," she explained. "We use that terminology and there is nothing different other than I am wearing an engagement ring rather than a wedding band."

A Contented Couple With No Rush To The Altar

Despite the slip of the tongue, Riley insisted the loved-up pair are in no hurry to make their union official. She expressed contentment with their current status, even joking about her reluctance for a big wedding day.

"We are happy as we are — I don't see what that day would do," she told Dommett. "I dress up every day as Mandy Dingle, I don't want to dress up as me."

The actress was part of a shock double elimination on Friday evening, leaving the Australian jungle alongside Jack Osbourne. Her fiancé Al was famously waiting for her on the iconic rope bridge for a heartfelt reunion watched by millions of ITV viewers.

Jungle Life Leads To Dramatic Weight Loss

In other revelations post-camp, Lisa Riley disclosed she shed nearly a stone and a half during her time in the jungle. Contrary to popular belief, she attributed the weight loss not solely to the meagre rice and beans diet, but to the intense activity and strict portion control of camp life.

"Do you know what it is? It's portion control," she clarified in an interview. "When you're in there, people don't have an idea of the lifestyle... It's the do-ability, the activeness."

She described the non-stop physical demands, from climbing steps to the Bush Telegraph to travelling to challenges. "It's endless... by the time you've consumed the beans at night, you've probably burned it off," she added, also expressing joy at ditching her malodorous camp boots that "smell like a skip".

The final of I'm A Celebrity airs on ITV at 9pm on Sunday.
