Donald Trump has launched a fresh tirade against late-night host Bill Maher, escalating their long-running feud following Maher's recent interview with California Governor Gavin Newsom. The former president took to Truth Social to criticize Maher, calling him 'low rated,' a 'MORON,' and 'totally deficient' for his conduct during the interview. Trump also disparaged Newsom, referring to him as 'Gavin Newscum' and 'incompetent.'
Trump's Demands to Conservative Media
In his post, Trump urged Fox News and other conservative media outlets to stop featuring Maher, arguing that the comedian does not represent the Republican Party and makes them appear 'weak, stupid, and ineffective.' Trump claimed that Maher's presence on such platforms undermines conservative values.
Recalling the White House Dinner
Trump revisited a private dinner at the White House, describing Maher as 'nervous, scared,' and immediately asking for a drink. He contrasted this with Maher's confident demeanor in the Newsom interview, implying hypocrisy. Maher had previously commented on the dinner, stating he never ceased criticizing Trump despite the meal, likening it to a man expecting reciprocation after buying dinner.
The attack marks another chapter in Trump's ongoing war with late-night hosts, following his well-publicized feud with Jimmy Kimmel. Trump's post concluded by labeling Maher 'pathetic' and reiterating that he was 'so scared' during their Oval Office meeting.
